High School Program
Our high school training program empowers students to become both skilled performers and confident leaders. Through the art of lion and dragon dance, we teach the values of discipline, teamwork, and cultural pride, while fostering leadership skills that extend beyond the stage.
Our program is currently offered at the SFUSD schools Balboa, Burton, Galileo, Lincoln, Lowell, Wallenberg, and Washington. If you'd like to bring our program to your school, email us at weflyhigh@liondanceme.com to get started.
What We Offer
At the high school level, students take on hands-on leadership roles creating marketing and recruiting materials, managing their school clubs, leading practices and community shows, and producing an annual student-led competition.
Students also have the opportunity to intern under LionDanceME to learn the ins-and-outs of running an entertainment business, gaining real-world experience in sales, operations, event planning, and strategy.
By the end of the program, they are not only skilled performers but confident leaders and business-savvy individuals ready for success in any field.

Celebrating Excellence
Each year, we award scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, skill, and commitment to the lion and dragon dance program.
We aim to support our students as they grow and help them move forward with confidence in both their personal and professional lives.
Shaping the Future of
Cultural Arts
We are proud to partner with nonprofits YANC and PRIMED to bring cultural arts awareness to underrepresented schools and share the power of the arts. As we look toward the future, our vision is to expand our reach, bringing lion dance to even more high schools and mentoring more youth across the country and globally.
Join us in making this vision a reality—contact us if you're interested in bringing our program to your school and providing students with the opportunity to explore lion dance and develop valuable life skills.
